On Tuesday the school welcomed our board of governors who spent the day on the primary and secondary sites visiting lessons, meeting students, teachers and leaders. The feedback from the governors reflected what we are privileged to see every day – that our students are polite, engaged, enthusiastic for their learning and aspiring to be the best they can be. Our Chair of Governors said, “Many thanks to all the staff for what they are doing every day….the students we met today had nothing but praise for the school. It is evident how the school is driving towards its vision of the three Cs [currency, character and cultural capital] and the difference that will make to so many young peoples’ lives.” We look forward to our SRS Governor Day as an annual event. Away from school, we continue to all be shocked by the devastating crisis in Ukraine. From Monday we will be launching our SRS support for Ukraine appeal which will be looking for support in fundraising (mainly through Red Nose Day – see below) as well as the collection of day-to-day essentials (see details below). Any support you can offer will be greatly appreciated. I wish you all a lovely weekend. Mrs Cross Read the whole newsletter here
